Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY),Govt of India has notified the “Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirement of Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021”. As per the Order, no person shall manufacture or store for sale, import, sell or distribute goods which do not conform to the Indian Standard specified in the Order and it will be mandatory for these Manufacturers obtain a Registration licence from Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) before they are allowed to manufacture, sell, store, trade or distribute these products.
Electronic Games (Video) , Laptops/Notebooks/Tablets, Plasma/LCD/LED Televisions of screen size 32 inches & above, Video and Similar Electronic Apparatus , Optical Disc Players with built in amplifiers of input power 200W and above, Microwave Ovens , Visual Display Units, Video Monitors of screen size 32 inch & above , Printers/ Multi- Function Devices (MFD)/ Plotters, Scanners , wireless Keyboards , Telephone Answering Machines , Amplifiers with input power 2000W and above , Electronic Musical Systems , Electronic Clocks with Mains Power, Set Top Boxes , Automatic Data Processing Machines, Power Adaptors for IT Equipment , Power Adaptors for Audio, Video & Similar Electronic Apparatus, UPS/Inverters of rating ≤ 5kVA ,DC or AC Supplied Electronic Control gears for LED Modules , Sealed Secondary Cells/Batteries containing Alkaline or other nonacid Electrolytes for use in portable applications, Secondary Cells and Batteries Containing Alkaline or Other Non-Acid Electrolytes, Self-Ballasted LED Lamps for General Lighting Services, Fixed General Purpose LED Luminaries , Mobile Phones, Cash Registers, point of Sale Terminals, Copying Machines/Duplicators, Smart Card Readers , Mail Processing Machines/Postage Machines/ Franking Machines, Passport Readers , Power Bank for use in portable applications , Recessed LED Luminaries, LED Luminaries for Road and Street Lightings, LED Flood Lights, LED Hand Lamps ,lighting chains, LED Luminaries for Emergency Lighting, UPS/Inverters of rating ≤ 10kVA ,Plasma/LCD/LED Televisions of screen size upto 32 inches, Visual Display Units, Video Monitors, CCTV Cameras/CCTV Recorders , Adapters, USB driven Barcode readers, barcode scanners, Iris scanners, Optical fingerprint scanner , Smart Watches, Standalone LED Modules for General Lighting , Rope Lights, Keyboards, Induction Stoves ,hobs, ovens and similar appliances, Automatic Teller Cash dispensing machines, USB Type External Hard Disk Drives , Wireless Headphones and Earphones, Electronic Musical Systems with input power below 200 Watts ,SMPS, Televisions other than Plasma/ LCD/LED TVs , rice Cookers, Wireless microphones, Digital Cameras, Video cameras, Webcams, Smart Speakers, Dimmers for LED products, bluetooth speakers etc.
Other products under mandatory CRS registration are Solar Photovoltaics, Systems, Devices, Component goods, Ortho Phosphoric Acid, Polyphosphoric Acid, Trimethyl Phosphite and Cotton Bales.
